Recently there has been extensive negative media coverage in relation to Credit Unions and the extent of regulatory restrictions being placed on them.

We wish to confirm that St. Mary's Navan Credit Union continues to be in a strong financial position with substantial reserves and provisions and we have substantial funds available for lending. We continue to lend in a conscientious and prudent manner and at a very competitive rate, taking account of our responsibilities to our borrowing and saving members.

All members' savings are covered under the Government's Deposit Guarantee Scheme up to a maximum of €100,000 per member.

With the continued support of our members, this Credit Union will continue to grow and service its members' financial needs in the years ahead. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our members for your continued support and loyalty.
